چکیده

Two-particle scattering amplitudes for integrable relativistic quantum field theory in 1+1 dimensions can normally have at most singularities of poles and zeros along the imaginary axis in the complex rapidity plane. It has been supposed that single particle amplitudes of the exact boundary reflection matrix exhibit the same structure. In this paper, single particle amplitudes of the exact boundary reflection matrix corresponding to the Neumann boundary condition for affine Toda field theory associated with twisted affine algebras a (2) 2n are conjectured, based on one-loop result, as having a new kind of square root singularity. Root Systems and Boundary Bootstrap

The principle of boundary bootstrap plays a significant role in the algebraic study of the purely elastic boundary reflection matrix Ka(θ) for integrable quantum field theory defined on a space-time with a boundary. However, general structure of that principle in the form as was originally introduced by Fring and Köberle has remained unclear. In terms of a new matrix Ja(θ) = √ Ka(θ)/Kā(iπ + θ),...

Adjoint Equations in Cfd: Duality, Boundary Conditions and Solution Behaviour

The rst half of this paper derives the adjoint equations for inviscid and viscous compressible ow, with the emphasis being on the correct formulation of the adjoint boundary conditions and restrictions on the permissible choice of operators in the linearised functional. It is also shown that the boundary conditions for the adjoint problem can be simpliied through the use of a linearised perturb...

Nonperturbative results for the spectrum of surface-disordered waveguides.

We calculated the spectrum of normal scalar waves in a planar waveguide with absolutely soft randomly rough boundaries. Our approach is beyond perturbation theories in the roughness heights and slopes and is based instead on the exact boundary scattering potential. The spectrum is proved to be a nearly real nonanalytic function of the dispersion zeta(2) of the roughness heights (with square-roo...

Exact analytical approach for free longitudinal vibration of nanorods based on nonlocal elasticity theory from wave standpoint

In this paper, free longitudinal vibration of nanorods is investigated from the wave viewpoint. The Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory is used for nanorods modelling. Wave propagation in a medium has a similar formulation as vibrations and thus,  it can be used to describe the vibration behavior. Boundaries reflect the propagating waves after incident. Firstly, the governing quation of nanoro...

Border collision bifurcations in a soft impact system

The present work deals with the dynamics of a mechanical switching system in which the state variables are continuous at the switching events, but the first derivative of the vector field changes discontinuously across the switching boundary. Earlier works have shown that hard impacting systems yield discrete maps with a term of power 1/2, and stick-slip systems yield discrete maps with a term ...
